Is there any popular support for Communism in modern Britain?

No

J.C.B.
Why do communists drink herbal tea?
Because all proper tea is theft XD ...

I'll get me coat!

R.F.

Yes. Communism has never failed.
Whereas Capitalism is a utopia for all.

S.F.
I think both communism and capitalism have failed...

A.H.
‎'Communism' never failed, 'Stalinism' failed. Communism is always adapted differently; ‘Maoism’ is still going pretty strong....

S.F.
You forgot Trotskyism, very popular in France! lol

A.P.
Communisms a joke: just a hypocritical version of fascism in practise.

R.F.
'Communism' is to Stalinism as 'Capitalism' is to Objectivism. Stop regurgitating glib platitudes and get your noses in a book.

A.P.
Wasn't that a glib platitude, Robin? Stalinism was borne of communism, whereas objectivity has nothing to do with capitalism.

R.F.
It was, wasn't it?

Rand developed objectivism after soviets collectivised her family's business. It's very much a capitalist ideology, even if it's more of a philosophical than an economic theory.

A.P.
Sorry, I was only teasing. :-) I was also guilty of misreading objectivism as objectivity. My bad.
